HPC in Europe is the common umbrella brand for Europe's network of National Competence Centres (NCCs) and related European HPC initiatives. A two-day training session entitled “Get Started with Quantum Computing” will be organized on 28–29 April (09:00–17:00) at the University of Namur, Faculty of Sciences (Room S09). This event is organized in collaboration between NCC Belgium and NCC France within the framework of the EuroCC network, with the support of the Vlaams supercomputercentrum (VSC) and the Consortium des Équipements de Calcul Intensif (CÉCI).

In this session, we bridge the gap between Ansys Fluent and supercomputing. You will discover how Ansys is constantly working to accelerate the entire CFD workflow, what recent developments there are in the field of meshing, and how CFD simulations can be drastically accelerated with the Fluent native multi-GPU solver. The VSC's GPU infrastructure offers a unique opportunity to explore the added value of high-end GPUs for your own CFD workflow.

In this VSC Connect Blog post, our colleague Carl Mensch, discusses the potential of quantum computing, adressing challenges and hurdles in the way of the quantum computing research. In this interview, he provides insights and recommend resources to researchers and companies who are getting involved in that research area.
